Eric Sharpe is an accomplished strategist, consultant and solution specialist who for the past 25 years has worked within major corporations on finding both technology and non-technology enhancements that help drive productivity improvements.
Richard Jeffery is the joint founder and managing director of Active Operations Management International (AOMi) and an expert in service operations management. Richard started his career with PA Consulting Group, before moving to Coopers and Lybrand and specializing in organization, change management and operational effectiveness. He joined specialist consultants OCP as a partner in 1993, where he began the process of developing the framework and toolkit that today is Active Operations Management (AOM), the innovative approach to operations management that focuses front-line managers and their staff on achieving quality and service levels at the optimum cost. He launched AOMi with fellow OCP partner, Neil Bentley, in 2005. Today, AOMi has global operations in six international regions and is considered a world leader in the improvement of performance in service operations. AOM has been adopted in over 35 countries around the world and over 40,000 employees are actively managed by the approach.
Head of Deposit Operations
Special guest speaker: Aravind joined TD Bank in February 2011 as head of Operations for the Deposits Business. His responsibilities include various operational functions that support the bank’s $170+ Billion in Deposits. He is also responsible for Distribution, Mail and Print services (Statements) for all businesses in TD Bank. Aravind also serves as the business owner for the core systems/infrastructure for Deposits and Statements.
Aravind started his career in 1997 at DuPont where he spent 5 years in a variety of functions in Research, Operations & Marketing. He joined Capital One in 2002 in the core Process Improvement group. From 2002-2007 he held leadership roles in the Direct Marketing Center, Asia Supply Management and Capital One Direct Bank. He joined the Capital One Retail Banking division in 2007 where he held leadership positions in Deposit Operations & External Fraud and Commercial & Small Business Operations. Aravind got his BS in Chemical Engineering from IIT-Madras in 1992, and a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. He also has an MBA from the Wharton Business School, where he graduated with the highest academic honor of “Palmer Scholar”. Aravind is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Aravind lives in Moorestown, NJ with his wife of 15 years, Nina and 12 year old daughter Anna. In his spare time, he enjoys endurance sports, in particular long course triathlons and recently completed his first full Ironman race.
